"WELCOME" TO ASU for Fall 2010!

Rambunctious Weekend is officially underway.  It will surely keep you busy.  Be sure to check out our calendar on this side and at the Christian Campus Center.  We have a lot going on and hope everyone will participate.  Please pray for our year; that it will be blessed and a glory to God.

Summer Opportunities

Campus Ministry United Workshop (Searcy, AK); "Kids Eat" Summer Program for local youth (July 12-17th); Connect Conference (The 50th Annual National Campus Ministry Seminar held this year in Oxford, MS at the end of July); Serve watermelons at "OASIS" at the Johnson St. Church of Christ (August 18th).

Also, stay tuned for details on our upcoming camping trip!

RFC MEN'S KICKBALL CHAMPIONS!

The RFC guys Kickball team took the Intramural Championship Monday night in the "IF" game. They lost the first game 5-2 and then in the nightcap, they battled to tie the game in the 3rd inning before "Bill" belted a grand-slam homerun in the bottom of the 7th inning to win the game in walk-off fashion. It was thrilling. The best part was I had to leave in between games because I was the jinx.   :-)  -MW

Spring Break Mission Campaign

In March 2010, a group of Rams for Christ teamed up with some Buff's for Christ from WTAMU in Canyon, TX in an effort to "Kumanii Lodge" in Northwest Ecuador.  We worked almost a whole week to prepare the lodge for future traffic, specifically caused by a medical mission in May.  Our trip was a tremendous experience blessed by God with productivity, safety, new relationships, and a broadened consciousness of his presence world-wide!

Adopt-a-Family Program

Rams for Christ adopts a family for the holidays every year and this season we have taken on a family of nine: a mom and dad, three boys and four girls. Rams for Christ are encouraged to donate money in the white Christmas box in the CCC so we can bless that family with things they need or want. We will be hosting a Christmas party for the family Sunday, Dec. 6 where we will provide a meal and give out gifts. If you are not already in a group for a family member, please let us know so we can place you in one.  For more information, please talk to Bunny Parker.

Gulf Coast Getaway 2010

Now is the time to decide if you plan to join us for GCG '10 This coming Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in January. Check at the CCC for details and talk to those of us who attended last year.  IT WAS AN AMAZING START TO OUR SPRING SEMESTER!

Blessed to Be a Blessing

We had a good turn out of college students for "Blessed to be a Blessing" at JSCC.  Tommy King's and Bob Knox's lessons added to a wonderful morning of giving and service.  The hope is that putting our faith into action is not limited to an annual program, but rather that we are inspired to build lives of generosity because of what God has shown to us!

Christian Leadership Workshop

Rams for Christ send out a BIG "THANK YOU" to Mark Webster who blessed us with thoughts on Christian Leadership on Saturday, Nov. 7th.  Thanks for coming through for us, providing lunch and candy, all while your were overcoming being sick the week before!  Students described it as a useful reminder of some very important characteristics they need as they strive to develop their own personal ministries. This is definately something we will look to repeat in the future.
